Why it matters
AI assistants mostly recommend the companies that the sources they cite already name. Being readable and quotable gets you considered; being mentioned on those sources gets you picked.
How to fix it
- Find the sources AI cites for your category: the report’s “Sources AI trusts” table lists them, with how often each is cited.
- Directories and review sites (G2, Capterra, Justdial, Clutch): create a complete profile and ask happy customers for reviews.
- “Best X in India” articles: contact the authors with a short, useful pitch and real numbers.
- Communities (Reddit, Quora, LinkedIn groups): answer real questions helpfully; mention yourself only when it fits.
- Track what changes: the dashboard shows when a new source starts citing you.
